Keyword Research Revealed - Google's Keyword Suggestion Tool

Keyword Research Revealed - Google's Keyword Suggestion Tool

Now before you run out a get another keyword tool, if I've said it once I've said it 10 times. Use Google's free keyword suggestion tool for all of your AdWords research. If there was any one thing that I would recommend for keyword research then this would be first thing.

Why?

I'm glad you asked, one of the major reasons why I recommend using this tool is because the keyword data comes directly from Google itself. Hey, this has got to be a good enough reason alone.

Google Has All Advertisers Keywords In Their System

You see, unlike other keyword tools Google has the inside scoop, primarily because Google has all of the AdWords advertisers information. Meaning, Google knows who is bidding on what, who is advertising what product and what keywords are being used in each campaign.

Okay, so Google uncovers a lot of the most popular keywords that other advertisers are bidding on in the Google keyword suggestion tool. Do you follow?

This means that any keyword that is making an advertiser money is virtually uncovered in this tool. Meaning that if nothing else you will at some stage grab a money making keyword for your product just by using the tool.

The keywords to aim for are the keywords that have advertiser competition.

Don't Go For Keyword With No Advertiser Competition Doing So Will Mean Failer.

You might think that it is better to get the keywords that have the least competition, but you'd be wrong. The reason why the majority of these keywords have no competition is because they aren't making people any money.

Ponder this for a moment, if I have a keyword that is making me money then I obviously want to make sure that I can keep that keyword for as along as it is profitable. Now if other people who are selling similar products find that that keyword is producing them results then they also want to keep that keyword for their campaigns. Do you get it?

Which shows up as advertiser competition. Advertisers bid higher amounts to keep their precious money making keywords. This is where you uncover them and use them for your AdWords campaign.

Don't Run From High Bids

Although you might be paying a higher amount for your keyword given the competition, this amount reduces over time depending on your overall campaign history so you could see a high bid reduce by 20 to even 30 cents. Although, these keywords might be expensive initially they often produce more profitable results than lower competition terms.
