What is DIY? Have you seen these words appear in any book, magazine, etc? DIY is an abbreviation of the order of the sentence "Do It Yourself." What is DIY?

DIY in my interpretation is made, repair, upgrade or modify anything without using the services of experts and professionals. The aim is to familiarize ourselves to work, so we do not expect expertise to do things for us, in addition to save our cost to make, repair, upgrade or renovation.

Do it yourself (or DIY) is a term used to describe building, modifying, or repairing of something without the aid of experts or professionals. The phrase "do it yourself" came into common usage in the 1950s in reference to home improvement projects which people might choose to complete independently.

The terms "DIY" and "do-it-yourself" are also used to describe:

1. Self-publishing books, zines, and alternative comics.
2. bands or solo artists releasing their music on self-funded record labels
3. trading of mixtapes as part of cassette culture
4. crafts such as knitting, sewing, handmade jewelry, ceramics, etc.
5. designing business cards, invitations, etc.
6. creating punk or indie musical merchandise through the use of recycling thrift store or discarded materials, usually decorated with art applied by silk screen.
7. Independent game development and game modding.

Restore Water Flow To a Clogged Kitchen Drain

STEPS

1. Realize that when water does not run through your drain, it is because there is a bunch of junk and trash clogged up in one of the pipes. The clog could be anywhere in the drain pipes, not just limited to your kitchen. Although rare, it can even be in the vent pipe leading to the roof; such blockages usually cause slowly draining pipes rather than completely blocked pipes (just like slowly flowing gasoline from a gas can when the vent is closed).
2. Hair clogs. For bathtub, shower and wash basins, an inexpensive barbed plastic dipstick may do the trick (e.g. “Zip-It”). These dipsticks are often limited use as the barbs are easily broken.
3. Try a plunger. Liquid drain cleaners usually contain lye or other hazardous, caustic chemicals, and sometimes damage older types of pipes, and are toxic to fish. There are, however, a few earth-friendly enzymatic powders available (but they usually take 24 hours or so to work, and often are ineffective on stubborn clogs).

Make Text Invisible on a Web Page

Making the text the same color as the background on a webpage, you can insert secret messages in so-called "invisible ink." Now you can use this on your webpage. Highlight the space in front of this sentence to reveal the hidden message.( This is what it will look like! )

STEPS

1. Write the message in your web editor (or in the HTML code directly).
2. Insert the following code right before your secret message, replacing the word "white" with the background color of your webpage (e.g. "blue" or "black" or "red" etc.): spanspanspanspan
